Sichuan Kelun-Biotech Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Kelun-Biotech) disclosed that it has placed a combined RMB 690.00 million in principal-guaranteed, floating-rate structured deposits at China Zheshang Bank (CZB) and Bank of China (BOC). The transactions qualify as discloseable transactions under Hong Kong Listing Rule Chapter 14 as the size at each bank exceeds 5% but remains below 25% of the relevant percentage ratios.
Kelun-Biotech’s exposure at CZB totals RMB 390.00 million: • CZB Structured Deposit I: RMB 290.00 million, 91-day tenor (21 Jan–22 Apr 2026), linked to EUR/USD with expected annualised returns of 1.00%, 1.85% or 2.30%. • CZB Structured Deposit II: RMB 100.00 million, 182-day tenor (17 Apr–16 Oct 2026), linked to EUR/USD with expected annualised returns of 1.20%, 1.85% or 2.40%.
At BOC, the company holds RMB 300.00 million in a 185-day RMB Structured Deposit (17 Apr–19 Oct 2026) referencing the USD/JPY spot rate. The expected annualised return ranges between 0.800% and 2.035%. Neither party may terminate the BOC product early unless laws or force majeure require it.
All three deposits are principal-protected and will be settled in one lump sum at maturity or, where applicable, on early termination by the issuing bank. Funding derives entirely from Kelun-Biotech’s idle internal cash, with no proceeds from its IPO or subsequent share placings involved.
The board considers the instruments’ short-to-medium duration and floating yields a more efficient deployment of surplus cash compared with standard bank deposits, while maintaining capital safety. Liu Gexin serves as chairman of the board.
