Singapore Shipping Corporation Limited announced a proposed final one-tier tax-exempt dividend of 1.0 Singapore cent per ordinary share for the financial year ended Mar, 31 2026. The payout is subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on Jul, 30 2026.
The company will apply its Scrip Dividend Scheme to the distribution, allowing eligible investors to receive new shares instead of cash. Shareholders who prefer cash need take no action unless they have previously filed permanent scrip elections.
Key dates include: shares trading ex-dividend on Aug, 7 2026; a record date of Aug, 11 2026 at 5:00 p.m.; and dividend payment, crediting of new shares and their listing on the Singapore Exchange on Sep, 28 2026.
The issue price for the new shares will be based on the volume-weighted average price of trades from Aug, 7 2026 to Aug, 11 2026, capped at a 10% discount to that market price. The company plans to announce the final issue price on Aug, 12 2026 and will use its existing share-issue mandate to allot the new shares.
Overseas shareholders must provide a Singapore address by Aug, 5 2026 to participate in the scrip scheme. Notices of election will be dispatched on Aug, 24 2026, with elections due by Sep, 4 2026.
The new shares will rank pari passu with existing shares, except that they will not qualify for any dividend or distribution whose record date precedes or coincides with their allotment.
