SOLOMON SYSTECH (02878) has announced that the group expects to report an unaudited consolidated profit attributable to shareholders of approximately $3.5 million to $4 million for the year ending December 31, 2025. This represents a decrease of about 60% to 65% compared to the approximately $10.1 million profit recorded for the year ending December 31, 2024. The primary reasons for the expected decline in unaudited profit for 2025 are (i) a decrease in gross profit amount due to a fall in the average selling price of the group's products, and (ii) an increase in research and development expenses resulting from higher investment in new product development during the year. Despite the drop in average selling prices, the board emphasizes that the group has maintained an increase in shipment volumes within the new display IC sector. Concurrently, the company will continue to allocate resources to support its various R&D projects to sustain its long-term competitiveness.
