On the news front, a report from SEMI indicates that global semiconductor equipment billings for the first quarter of 2026 reached US$36.55 billion, marking a 14% year-on-year increase and a 1% sequential growth.
Notably, data for the first ten days of June shows South Korea's exports surged 85.9% year-on-year, up from a previous 40.3% increase. Within this, semiconductor exports skyrocketed 205.8% year-on-year, rising from a prior 149.8% gain. Concurrently, South Korea's imports from China grew 57.4% year-on-year, up from 28.8%. This data further suggests the semiconductor industry's upturn cycle is in an accelerating phase of expansion.
It is reported that the E Fund Asia Semiconductor ETF closely tracks the Solactive Asia Semiconductor Select Index. The index includes leading Asian semiconductor companies such as SK Hynix, Hua Hong, TSMC, SMIC, and Tokyo Electron, providing comprehensive exposure to high-growth segments including AI computing power, semiconductor equipment, and memory chips.
