The Hunan Provincial People's Government has released an implementation opinion aimed at accelerating the development of the smart robot industry, according to an official announcement.

The opinion focuses on advancing industrial robots, service and consumer robots, and specialized task robots. It outlines plans to build a comprehensive industrial chain encompassing key materials, core components, complete machine research and development, pilot testing, smart manufacturing, scenario applications, and data feedback. The goal is to foster collaborative breakthroughs and industrialization across all segments.

By 2028, the province aims for the smart robot industry chain to achieve revenue of 100 billion yuan, with significant improvements in key basic materials, advanced manufacturing processes, and core components. The plan includes cultivating about five leading enterprises and developing a group of specialized and innovative supporting companies.

By 2030, the target is for the industry chain's revenue to surpass 200 billion yuan. At that stage, a mature self-reliant system for core components and key materials, including precision transmissions, high-precision sensors, motion control systems, and lightweight alloys, is expected to be established. The province aims to nurture around 10 leading enterprises, positioning its overall industrial strength among the top tier nationwide.
