MiniMax Announces Board Reshuffle: Dr. Zhu Huaxing Resigns, Dr. Li Ziqing Joins as INED and Governance Committee Chair

MiniMax Group Inc. (MINIMAX-W) disclosed a series of board changes effective 21 August 2026.

Dr. Zhu Huaxing has resigned as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED), Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Nomination Committee due to other work commitments. He confirmed no outstanding claims against the company and no disagreement with the board.

Simultaneously, Dr. Li Ziqing has been appointed as INED. He will also become Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee. Dr. Li, aged 68, is a Chair Professor at Westlake University and holds visiting positions at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His career includes roles at Microsoft Research Asia and Nanyang Technological University. He has authored more than 500 papers and 10 books in artificial intelligence, computer vision and machine learning, and is a fellow of IEEE and IAPR.

Dr. Li’s three-year appointment contract provides an annual director’s fee of US$50,000. He meets all independence criteria under Listing Rule 3.13 and holds no shares in the company.

Following these changes, MiniMax’s board comprises nine directors: four executive directors, two non-executive directors and three independent non-executive directors.
