Pan American Silver's stock surged 5.05% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first quarter 2026 financial results.
The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.09 per share, significantly beating analyst estimates and marking a substantial increase from the 42 cents reported in the same quarter last year. Revenue rose 49.2% year-over-year to $1.15 billion, driven by strong production, disciplined cost management, and improved silver and gold prices.
Pan American Silver also announced an enhanced shareholder return framework targeting up to $1 billion in returns to shareholders in 2026 through a combination of increased share repurchases and dividends. The company reported a record cash and short-term investment balance of $1.8 billion and generated $488 million in attributable free cash flow during the quarter, underscoring its strong financial position and operational performance.
