Tesla Recalls Over 20,000 Vehicles in US Due to Excessive Low Beam Headlight Brightness

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Tuesday that Tesla Motors is recalling 20,349 vehicles in the United States due to low beam headlights that may be excessively bright, potentially reducing visibility for oncoming drivers and increasing the risk of a collision.

According to the NHTSA, the recall affects certain Tesla Motors Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. The automotive safety regulator stated that a remedy has not yet been finalized.

This recall comes as Tesla Motors continues to face regulatory scrutiny over vehicle safety issues. In July, the NHTSA announced it had opened a preliminary investigation into approximately 1.2 million Tesla Motors vehicles following reports of suspension failures that could lead to a loss of steering control.
