According to a source familiar with the matter, Jane Street Group LLC has moved into a new office in Singapore, doubling its staff capacity to 250 employees as part of its ongoing expansion across Asia.
The market maker has leased 2,230 square meters of office space at IOI Central Boulevard Towers and holds an option for further expansion. The new facility will accommodate employees from various departments, including trading, technology, and infrastructure.
Over the past decade, Jane Street has grown into a major player, achieving trading revenue of $39.6 billion last year amid significant market volatility, setting a Wall Street record. This success has supported the company's global expansion, including the addition of offices across Asia.
The firm is actively recruiting in Singapore. According to job postings on its website, Jane Street is hiring experienced professionals in software, cybersecurity, and data center engineering, as well as students and recent graduates for software and Linux engineering roles.
A representative for the New York-based company declined to comment.
Previously, Jane Street occupied part of the fourth floor at Ocean Financial Centre, which was operated by a co-working space provider. IOI Central Boulevard Towers is a new office building located in Singapore's Central Business District.
