Hangzhou Jiuyuan Genetic Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Jiuyuan Gene”) disclosed a next-day return confirming the on-market repurchase of 50,000 H-shares on 2 July 2026. The key data points are as follows:

• Transaction details: Shares were bought back on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging from HKD5.94 to HKD6.00, with a volume-weighted average consideration of about HKD5.991 per share. Total cash outlay reached HKD0.30 million.

• Capital structure impact: The repurchase equates to 0.02078% of Jiuyuan Gene’s issued shares (excluding treasury shares) prior to the transaction. Post-buyback, outstanding shares decreased to 240.59 million, while treasury shares rose to 4.81 million. The company’s overall issued share count remained unchanged at 245.40 million as the repurchased shares are currently held in treasury rather than cancelled.

• Repurchase mandate utilisation: The 15 June 2026 shareholder mandate authorises Jiuyuan Gene to repurchase up to 24.15 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this authorisation now total 928,200 shares—approximately 0.38% of the company’s issued share base at mandate date—leaving ample scope for further buybacks.

• Post-transaction restrictions: In line with Hong Kong listing rules, Jiuyuan Gene is restricted from issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares for 30 days following the repurchase, setting a moratorium period until 1 August 2026.

The company affirmed that all repurchase procedures complied with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations and the conditions set out in its April 2026 explanatory statement.
