Trip.com Group Enhances Paternity Leave Policy for Male Employees

Trip.com Group has announced an upgrade to its "family-friendly" employee benefits policy. Starting from midnight on May 1, 2026, eligible full-time male employees whose families welcome a new child will be entitled to no less than 20 days of paternity leave.

This initiative is designed to further support working fathers in actively participating in childcare responsibilities and to alleviate the financial burdens associated with raising a family. The policy enhancement not only significantly increases the baseline number of leave days—for instance, extending paternity leave from the previous 10 or 15 days to 20 days in some regions—but also introduces greater flexibility in its usage. Employees can apply to use this leave as early as five days before the expected due date or as late as within six months after the child's birth.

Information indicates that Trip.com Group has already established a comprehensive support system covering the entire family lifecycle. This matrix includes fertility assistance for female employees, transportation subsidies during pregnancy, a "hybrid work policy" allowing eligible staff to work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays, a "Chengzhang Gift Fund" providing a 50,000 yuan childcare subsidy for eligible "Cheng Er Dai" (second-generation Trip.com families), "Childcare Leave" offering three paid days off annually for employees with children aged 18 or under, and supplementary medical insurance for children, among other measures.
