Biren Tech Shares Surge Over 16% on Key Certifications and Regional Expansion

Biren Technology (06082) saw its shares rise more than 16% in early trading, reaching a high of HK$62.5, setting a new record high since its listing. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 15.04% to HK$61.95, with a turnover of HK$569 million. On the news front, the "Security and Reliability Evaluation Results Announcement (No. 2, 2026)" was officially released on May 26. For the first time, AI training and inference chips were included in this evaluation system. Nine domestic chips, including Biren Technology's Biren™ 166, were jointly rated as Security and Reliability Level I. On May 27, during the 2026 World Intelligent Industry Expo, Biren Technology formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. According to the strategic cooperation agreement, Biren Technology's Northern Headquarters was simultaneously registered and established in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. It is worth noting that recently, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced its quarterly review, and Biren Technology was included in the Hang Seng Composite Index. The changes will take effect after the market close on June 5 and will be implemented starting June 8. The market anticipates that the company is expected to be simultaneously added to the Stock Connect southbound eligible stock pool, potentially opening up an incremental channel for southbound capital.
