Leapmotor presented its complete range of products at the 2026 Hong Kong Motor Expo.

At the event, Cao Li, the company's Senior Vice President, announced that Leapmotor's cumulative global deliveries have officially surpassed 1.5 million vehicles, signifying the brand's entry into a new phase of development. Concurrently, the right-hand-drive version of the strategic model Leapmotor Lafa5, tailored for RHD markets, made its debut for launch in Hong Kong and globally.

Leapmotor's Cao Li detailed during the presentation that the first 500,000 deliveries took 64 months, the second 500,000 were achieved in 12 months, and the third 500,000 took only 8 months. Since the beginning of 2026, Leapmotor has maintained rapid growth: global deliveries exceeded 80,000 units in May, with cumulative deliveries from January to May surpassing 260,000 units. Notably, overseas exports in May exceeded 20,000 units, and cumulative exports for the first five months surpassed 75,000 units, already exceeding the total export volume for all of 2025 and ranking first among new energy vehicle makers in exports.

Currently, Leapmotor is accelerating its global expansion with a core strategy built around seven major systems: global R&D, global design, global manufacturing, global products, global channels, global users, and global services. In Italy, a traditional automotive powerhouse, Leapmotor's pure electric vehicle models have captured over 30% market share.

To date, Leapmotor's business spans more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, with its global channel network exceeding 2,000 outlets. Over 950 of these are overseas locations, establishing a comprehensive sales and service network. On the operational front, Leapmotor International achieved annual profitability last year. In terms of production, overseas manufacturing bases in Spain, Malaysia, Myanmar, and elsewhere have been established, forming a dual-core manufacturing layout of "Europe + Southeast Asia," providing robust support for global market supply.

Leapmotor's Cao Li emphasized at the event: "The Hong Kong market is not a bystander but a key participant in Leapmotor's global network." On the first anniversary of entering the Hong Kong market, Leapmotor has positioned Hong Kong as a vital hub connecting Mainland China, Southeast Asia, and global markets. At this Motor Expo, popular Hong Kong models like the C10, T03, and B10 were all displayed, while the A10, D99, and Lafa5 were introduced to Hong Kong consumers for the first time, showcasing a complete product matrix from A to D segments covering sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.

Following this launch event, the Leapmotor Lafa5 will officially go on sale in Hong Kong and overseas markets. The Lafa5 is designed to match the aesthetic preferences and diverse usage needs of global young users, integrating stylish looks, a premium cabin, enjoyable driving dynamics, and comprehensive safety. The new model features a sporty coupe design that combines dynamic posture with trendy style. Its starting price in Hong Kong is HK$249,900, with the first 30 customers eligible for a limited early-bird price of HK$239,900.

Previously, World Superbike Championship (WSBK) "champion rider" Valentin Debise officially became the first European owner of a Lafa5. Leveraging Leapmotor's mature global layout, the Lafa5 has a clear and efficient overseas launch schedule. According to the plan, the new vehicle will successively launch in Hong Kong and 26 European countries and regions in June. In August, it will also enter the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Discussing Leapmotor's overseas business, Xu Jun, Senior Vice President and COO of Leapmotor, stated: "If the domestic market is about competition first, friendship second, then I hope overseas it's friendship first, competition second. Adhering to the principles of co-creation, co-building, sharing, and mutual benefit, we are also willing to join hands with all industry peers to contribute our strength to the global expansion of Chinese new energy vehicles, because ultimately, what is Chinese will become global."
