Chen Guo: Korean Memory Bear Market Does Not Signal End of Global Tech Bull Run, Nor A-Share Revaluation Rally; Could Indicate Industry Rebalancing

On July 8th, Chen Guo, Deputy Director and Chief Strategist of the Orient Securities Research Institute, shared his views once more. He stated that a bear market for Korean memory stocks does not signify the conclusion of the global technology bull market. Instead, it could represent a rebalancing within the technology industry itself.

Chen Guo emphasized that, more importantly, a downturn in Korean memory stocks certainly does not indicate the end of the A-share revaluation bull market. The major A-share bull market from 2005 to 2007 occurred not only during a golden era of sustained Chinese economic growth but also against a backdrop of Renminbi appreciation. It was during that period that Dr. Gao Shanwen proposed the asset revaluation theory to explain and grasp that bull cycle. Although two decades have passed and the economic cycle is vastly different, Chen Guo maintains that there is still room for revaluation of Renminbi-denominated assets. He particularly believes that the revaluation potential for high-quality carbon-based assets within the current Chinese stock market remains substantial.
