Guotai Junan Intl: UBS AG Increases Holding to 7.72% After HK$43.91 Million Net Share Purchase

Guotai Junan International Holdings Ltd (Guotai Junan Intl) disclosed on 12 August 2026 that UBS AG, classified as a Class (6) associate of the offeree company in the ongoing privatisation by scheme of arrangement, executed multiple on-market trades in the company’s shares on 11 August 2026.

UBS AG bought a total of 15.47 million shares at prices ranging from HK$2.8550 to HK$2.8700 per share, for an aggregate consideration of approximately HK$44.25 million. During the same session, it sold 0.12 million shares at HK$2.8553 per share, realising about HK$0.33 million. The net outcome was a purchase of 15.36 million shares, representing a cash outflow of roughly HK$43.91 million.

Following these transactions, UBS AG’s holding rose to 735.59 million shares, equal to 7.72% of Guotai Junan Intl’s issued share capital, up from 7.68% prior to the trades.

The disclosure confirms that all dealings were conducted for UBS AG’s own account, and the bank remains ultimately owned by UBS Group AG.
