Bitcoin Slips Below $80K Triggering $1 Billion in Liquidations, Experts Say Bull Market Is Not Over

According to Woofun AI, Bitcoin's price came under dual pressure from escalating tensions involving Iran and concerns over artificial intelligence safety threats, falling below the $80,000 mark on Thursday as market sentiment rapidly turned cold.

Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Development at the Solana Foundation, emphasized in a conversation with Scott Melker that the growing adoption of stablecoin payments, the influx of institutional investors, and the advancement of security tokenization are collectively pushing the industry into a golden cycle.

Although Solana remains in a bear market, the assets under management for US-listed Solana ETFs have already surpassed $1 billion, and Ducoff remains optimistic about this.

Technical analysis shows that Melker believes Bitcoin's drop below $82,800 constitutes a normal pullback, with the upward trend remaining intact.

The $77,000 level, serving as the 50-week moving average, provides potential support, but there is no need for excessive concern.

Recent new highs and the price recovery above major moving averages suggest that the bear market trend may be coming to an end.
