To continuously enhance the home and community-based elderly care service system and tangibly improve the sense of happiness, fulfillment, and security for the city's senior population, Cangzhou City has established 15 community elderly day care centers (stations) in its central urban area for 2026. These facilities offer a comprehensive range of services including meal assistance, medical aid, bathing support, cleaning help, transportation aid, and emergency assistance. This initiative has been integrated into the city's ten key livelihood projects and is being vigorously promoted to build the "Yiyang Shicheng" elderly care brand.
All projects have now been completed and are operational. The distribution includes seven centers in Yunhe District, six in Xinhua District, one in the High-tech Zone, and one in the Development Zone. These facilities are designed to meet the elderly care service demands of the senior populations in their respective jurisdictions, addressing gaps in community-based elderly care services.
Focusing on the diverse and personalized needs of the elderly, the 15 centers have consolidated high-quality elderly care resources to create a "one-stop" service platform. They provide a consistent array of considerate and comprehensive service programs. Core services encompass day care, meal and bathing assistance, rehabilitation therapy, traditional Chinese massage, in-home nursing care, accompaniment for medical appointments, psychological counseling, cultural and recreational activities, shopping and errand-running assistance, and emergency support. This effectively addresses the "last mile" challenge in delivering community elderly care services.
