According to monitoring by the agricultural authority, the "Agricultural Products Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 115.61 on August 18, edging up 0.14 points from the previous day, while the "Food Basket" product wholesale price index reached 116.14, rising 0.17 points day-on-day.

As of 14:00 today, the average wholesale price of pork across the nation's agricultural product markets was 15.99 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2% from yesterday. Meanwhile, beef averaged 68.25 yuan per kilogram, up 0.2%; mutton was priced at 65.89 yuan per kilogram, climbing 1.3%; eggs cost 10.51 yuan per kilogram, rising 1.1%; and white-striped chicken was 17.20 yuan per kilogram, falling 0.8% from the prior session.

The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.62 yuan per kilogram, a decrease of 0.4% from the previous day, while the average price of six key tracked fruits came in at 6.91 yuan per kilogram, slipping 0.1%. Among aquatic products, crucian carp dropped 1.4% to 20.11 yuan per kilogram, carp fell 1.2% to 14.33 yuan per kilogram, silver carp declined 1.4% to 10.45 yuan per kilogram, and large hairtail decreased 0.9% to 42.33 yuan per kilogram.

Today, among the 46 key monitored varieties at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five price gainers compared with yesterday were watermelon, spinach, Ya pear, lettuce, and mutton, with increases of 3.2%, 2.0%, 1.5%, 1.5%, and 1.3%, respectively. The top five decliners were Kyoho grapes, pumpkin, winter melon, Chinese cabbage, and green peppers, with decreases of 3.3%, 3.3%, 3.2%, 3.2%, and 2.8%, respectively.
