Zhaoke Ophthalmology-B (ASX: 06622) has announced that on June 26, 2026, its innovative presbyopia treatment, YUVEZZI™ (Carbachol and Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution (2.75%/0.1%)), has received approval from the Hainan Provincial Medical Products Administration. The approval allows the drug to be imported and used as a clinically urgently needed medication at the Boao Super Hospital.

YUVEZZI™ represents the first innovative drug approved in China for the treatment of presbyopia. This approval establishes a crucial pathway for Chinese patients to access this innovative presbyopia therapy, which is already available in international markets, at an earlier stage.

The approval was granted under the provisions of the State Council's decision regarding the temporary adjustment of the implementation of relevant regulations of the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Drug Administration Law of the People's Republic of China" in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan. For applications by medical institutions within the pilot zone to import small quantities of clinically urgently needed drugs (excluding vaccines), the approval authority rests with the Hainan Provincial People's Government. Drugs imported under this approval must be used for specific medical purposes within the designated medical institutions.
