Wilmar International Limited said on May, 29 2026 that it has increased the size of its previously mandated syndicated loan facility from 1.5 billion US dollars to 1.8 billion US dollars after receiving strong demand during syndication. The package now consists of a 5-year revolving credit facility of 1.44 billion US dollars and a 5-year term loan of 360 million US dollars.
The facility was arranged by Bank of China Limited (Singapore Branch), DBS Bank Ltd., The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch), Maybank Securities Pte. Ltd. and/or its affiliates, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, and United Overseas Bank Limited, each acting as a mandated lead arranger and bookrunner. In total, 48 lenders participated, with HSBC serving as the sole coordinator and facility agent.
The loan has been granted to Wii Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Wilmar, and is guaranteed by Wilmar. Proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt and fund general corporate and working-capital requirements across the group.
Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Charles Loo Cheau Leong said the transaction enhances the group’s funding flexibility and balance-sheet resilience and reflects continued support from its banking partners.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Singapore, Wilmar operates an integrated agribusiness model spanning oil palm cultivation, oilseed crushing, edible-oil refining, flour and rice milling, sugar milling and refining, consumer products, biodiesel, oleochemicals, fertilisers and food-park operations. The group runs more than 1,000 manufacturing plants and employs about 100,000 people worldwide.
