Hong Kong, 16 August 2026—CanSino Biologics Inc. (CANSINOBIO) announced that China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has formally accepted the company’s new drug application for its five-component tetanus, reduced diphtheria and acellular pertussis combined booster vaccine (Td5cp) for individuals aged six years and older. The Center for Drug Evaluation has also granted the candidate priority review status.\n\nThe Td5cp Adolescent and Adult vaccine targets a market gap: China currently has no approved booster covering diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis for adolescents and adults, although such products are included in routine immunization schedules in major developed markets. Successful commercialization would introduce the first domestic option in this category.\n\nCompared with CANSINOBIO’s three-component infant vaccine (DT3cP Infant) approved in April 2026, the new Td5cp formulation contains two additional pertussis antigen components. Each antigen is individually purified and combined in a controlled ratio, enhancing batch consistency and product stability.\n\nThe company advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when trading its shares following the announcement.
