On the news front, BOAN BIOTECH recently announced that it has submitted a marketing authorization application for its aflibercept ophthalmic injection solution (BA9101) to the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA). The product is intended for the treatment of neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) in adults.
BA9101, a biosimilar to EYLEA®, was approved for marketing in China in November 2025 under the brand name BoYoujing®. As a key product in the company's global development strategy, international expansion for BA9101 is accelerating. In June 2025, BOAN BIOTECH entered into an exclusive licensing and cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Kexing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kexing Biotech, granting the latter exclusive rights to sell BA9101 in all countries and regions outside mainland China, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan. The product's registration and launch in relevant regions are progressing as planned.
