SouthGobi lifts share capital by 24.74% after issuing 73.50 million new shares through convertible debenture interest conversion

SouthGobi Resources Ltd. (SouthGobi) has expanded its issued share capital following the conversion of payment-in-kind interest under a convertible debenture originally dated 19 November 2009.

On 25 June 2026, SouthGobi issued 73.50 million ordinary shares at USD 0.2313 per share to satisfy interest payable on the debenture. This transaction increased the company’s outstanding share count from 297.05 million to 370.55 million shares, representing a 24.74 % rise.

No treasury shares were created, sold or cancelled during the period, leaving SouthGobi’s treasury share balance unchanged at zero. The closing issued share capital as of 13 July 2026 stands at 370.55 million shares.

The board confirmed that the share issuance complied with Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing rules and all relevant regulatory requirements.
