CHINA POWER (02380) has announced that on August 21, 2026, its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary, Yuanda Engineering, entered into a general contracting agreement with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute (SDEPCI).

Under the terms of the contract, Yuanda Engineering will undertake survey and design, equipment procurement, construction and installation, along with other technical support services for the construction of the flue gas desulfurization system at the Baicheng project, at a consideration of RMB 126 million (approximately HKD 146 million).

As national environmental protection standards for coal-fired power plants become increasingly stringent, the contractor leverages its specialized expertise in desulfurization engineering contracting services to assist clients in meeting mandatory regulatory compliance requirements.

The company believes this EPC contract will strengthen the contractor's position in the environmental protection sector, aligning with the group's strategic objective of transitioning into a green and low-carbon energy supplier.
