Oceanus Group Limited (579) said on Apr, 09 2026 that its technology arm Oceanus Digital Intelligence Network Pte. Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with HashKey Group to build a regulated stablecoin-based settlement network for global trade finance.

The partners aim to connect Oceanus’s AI-driven trade-finance platform with HashKey’s institutional settlement rails to help narrow the USD2.5 trillion trade-finance gap that affects many small and medium enterprises.

Oceanus stated that the collaboration will allow traditional commodity traders to accept and make payments in stablecoins, offering faster and more secure transaction settlement while meeting regulatory requirements.

HashKey will act as the preferred institutional settlement layer for Oceanus, supporting the deployment of stablecoin liquidity into real-world assets across Asian trade corridors.

Oceanus, originally an abalone farming business, said the deal advances its strategy to transform into a technology-enabled global food-security company focused on “food without borders.” HashKey said the initiative strengthens its role in linking traditional finance with the digital-asset economy.
