Valmont Industries' stock soared 9.47% during Tuesday's intraday trading session following the release of its first-quarter financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The company reported quarterly earnings of $5.51 per share, beating the consensus estimate of approximately $4.67. Revenue for the quarter rose to $1.03 billion, also surpassing forecasts. The strong performance was primarily driven by a 14% increase in sales from its infrastructure segment, fueled by higher pricing and increased volumes in North America, which offset a decline in the agricultural business.
Furthermore, Valmont raised its full-year 2026 earnings per share guidance to a range of $21.50 to $23.50, up from the previous lower end of $20.50. The company cited value-based pricing, disciplined commercial approach, and operational initiatives as key drivers for margin expansion and the positive outlook.
