South Luogu Lane Deploys Movable, Height-Adjustable Intelligent Observation Tower

South Luogu Lane, situated on Beijing's central axis, consistently draws large crowds of visitors.

Recently, the Jiaodaokou sub-district has deployed new smart patrol equipment, operating from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a dual patrol strategy, significantly enhancing the sense of security for tourists.

In collaboration with the local police station and drawing on the successful model of Wangfujing Street, Jiaodaokou has introduced a height-adjustable intelligent patrol observation tower to South Luogu Lane.

This technological addition supplements human resources, providing ancient city protection with 'smart eyes' and extended operational capability.

The intelligent observation tower is fully mobile and can be raised or lowered freely, allowing its position to be flexibly adjusted based on peak visitor flow and operational requirements.

When in operation, an LED display on the front of the tower scrolls with the Jiaodaokou Police Station's emergency contact numbers (84081157/84081557), visible to tourists at a glance, effectively bridging the 'last hundred meters' of public service accessibility.

The tower maintains a fixed, routine post, deployed daily at 8 a.m. and withdrawn at 10 p.m.

It is staffed by a fixed team of three security personnel, operating on a 'one post, two patrols, two shifts' model.

This system ensures seamless shift rotation between morning and evening teams, combining a fixed observation post with a mobile patrol unit to create a comprehensive security framework that integrates static and dynamic coverage.

Since its deployment, the advantages of the observation tower have become evident.

The elevated vantage point has greatly improved the efficiency of detecting and managing crowd congestion and unexpected incidents.

Its mobility allows for flexible supplementation of police resources.

The prominently displayed emergency numbers provide tourists with easier access to assistance, earning approval from both residents and visitors.
