UL Solutions Inc's stock price surged 8.21% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results.
The applied safety science firm reported Q1 revenue of $758 million, beating analyst estimates of $748.6 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.50, significantly higher than the $0.35 consensus estimate. Adjusted EBITDA reached $197 million, also surpassing expectations of $177.5 million, with net income climbing 36.6% year-over-year to $97 million.
The company maintained its full-year 2026 outlook for mid-single digit constant currency organic revenue growth and expects its adjusted EBITDA margin to improve to approximately 27.0%. UL Solutions also completed the sale of its Employee Health and Safety software business and announced the acquisition of Eurofins' E&E business, which investors viewed as positive strategic moves.
