UK Maritime Trade Operations Office received a report of an incident on Friday, where a oil tanker was struck by a projectile.

The announcement indicates the incident occurred approximately 11 nautical miles northeast of Lima, Oman.

According to the statement, the vessel's security officer reported that the ship was hit by an unknown projectile, resulting in damage to the engine room. No casualties have been reported, and no environmental pollution has been identified. Relevant authorities are conducting an investigation.
