Chinese Yuan Weakens Against US Dollar, Midpoint Rate Set at 6.7888

The midpoint rate of the Chinese yuan against the US dollar was fixed at 6.7888 on August 13, marking a slight decrease of 6 basis points from the previous session.
According to the CME Group's "FedWatch" tool, the probability of the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates unchanged in September stands at 59.9%, while the chance of a 25-basis-point rate hike is 40.1%.
Looking ahead to the October meeting, the probability of the Fed maintaining the current rate is 45.3%, with a 44.9% chance of a 25-basis-point increase and a 9.8% probability of a 50-basis-point hike.
