Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) surged 5.07% over the past 24 hours, staging a sharp recovery as positive catalysts from the memory chip sector lifted investor sentiment. The ETF, which tracks global memory chip companies, rebounded strongly after South Korean semiconductor giant SK hynix reported record quarterly results and issued an upbeat demand forecast.

SK hynix announced its second-quarter 2026 financial results, posting an all-time high quarterly performance with revenues of 79.32 trillion won, an operating profit of 60.54 trillion won, and a net profit of 93.92 trillion won. Revenue and operating profit surged 257% and 557% year-over-year, respectively, driven by sustained demand growth from expanding AI infrastructure investments and higher prices for high-performance memory products used in AI servers. The company also revealed it has finalized long-term agreements with around 10 key customers and began mass shipments of its next-generation HBM4 memory in the second quarter, with plans to ramp up production in the second half of the year.

Adding to the positive momentum, SK hynix projected that DRAM demand will grow by mid-20% year-over-year for fiscal 2026, while NAND demand is expected to rise by high-teens. The strong earnings and bullish outlook from one of the world's largest memory chipmakers helped restore confidence in the memory sector, which had faced intense selling pressure earlier in the trading session amid broader semiconductor weakness.
