Heng Tai Consumables Group Limited announced three governance moves effective 6 August 2026, headlined by the appointment of Ms. Chan Wai Ying as an independent non-executive director (INED).
Ms. Chan, currently an executive director of Carry Wealth Holdings, joins Heng Tai’s board and becomes a member of its Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from University College Dublin, brings more than 18 years of experience in human resources and corporate governance, and will receive an annual director’s fee of HKD 0.15 million, subject to shareholder approval at the next AGM. The two-year appointment is subject to customary retirement and re-election provisions.
Ms. Chan has confirmed independence under Listing Rule 3.13 and reported no interests or relationships that might affect her objectivity.
Separately, the Board appointed Mr. Hui Hung Kwan—an independent non-executive director of Shanghai INT Medical Instruments and Life Concepts Holdings—as joint company secretary. Mr. Hui, a certified public accountant with over 30 years’ experience, will serve alongside existing company secretary Mr. Hung Hing Man, who also remains Heng Tai’s authorised representative.
Following these appointments, Heng Tai has regained compliance with Hong Kong Listing Rules 3.10(1), 3.10A and 3.21. The Board now comprises four executive directors (Lam Kwok Hing, Lee Choi Lin Joecy, Chan Cheuk Yu Stephen and Sun Banggui) and three independent non-executive directors (Mak Yun Chu, Poon Yiu Cheung Newman and Chan Wai Ying).
