Cathay Pacific (00293) has announced a 9% increase in passenger numbers for July 2026 compared to the same month in 2025, with available seat kilometers also rising by 5% year-on-year.
For the first seven months of 2026, the airline's total passenger volume has grown by 16% relative to the corresponding period last year.
In the cargo segment, Cathay Pacific recorded a 6% uptick in tonnage for July 2026 versus July 2025, while available cargo tonne kilometers remained broadly flat year-on-year. During the initial seven months of 2026, cargo volume has increased by 8% compared to the same timeframe in the prior year.
Meanwhile, HK Express carried approximately 760,000 passengers in July 2026, marking a 10% increase from July 2025. Its available seat kilometers expanded by 8% annually, and for the year-to-date through July, passenger numbers have climbed 10% year-on-year.
