ESG Rating Upgraded to Highest AAA Level by MSCI

On March 23, the global authoritative rating agency MSCI Inc announced its ESG rating results. Postal Savings Bank of China saw its rating officially raised from "AA" to the highest level of "AAA," placing it among the global banking industry's ESG leaders.

The rating report indicated that PSBC performed at a superior level within the industry across key areas, including financial environmental impact, financial accessibility, human capital development, consumer rights protection, corporate governance and conduct, as well as privacy and data security. The upgrade from "AA" to "AAA" not only reflects the bank's long-term dedication to ESG practices but also demonstrates strong recognition from international capital markets for its ESG governance capabilities and practical achievements. Due to its outstanding performance in sustainable development, PSBC has received multiple honors, including being recognized as a "2025 Best Practice Case for Sustainable Development among Listed Companies" by the China Association of Public Companies.

PSBC has deeply engaged in green finance, adhering to green development principles and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. It has adopted the Principles for Responsible Banking, vigorously developing sustainable finance, green finance, and climate financing. The bank actively supports biodiversity conservation and explores transition finance and just transition pathways, striving to become a top-tier green inclusive bank, climate-friendly bank, and eco-friendly bank.
