Huisheng International Holdings Limited released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, covering the Hong Kong headquarters, one production plant and two hog-breeding farms in Hunan.
Governance & Materiality • ESG oversight remains at board level, supported by a cross-functional reporting team. • Eleven material topics were prioritised, including waste management, occupational health and anti-corruption. • No non-compliance cases or corruption incidents were recorded during the year.
Operations & Supply Chain • The Group worked with 32 PRC-based suppliers; all are subject to stringent quarantine, clenbuterol testing and regular farm inspections. • Hog slaughtering continued to be outsourced to an independent facility while the Group explored capacity expansion opportunities. • ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005 certification remained in place, complemented by an AAA provincial quality-credit grade and multiple industry awards.
Human Capital • Workforce totalled 23 employees (83 % male, 17 % female); 74 % classified as junior staff. • No workplace injuries or fatalities were reported for the third consecutive year. • Average training hours rose to 4.76 per employee (2024: 4.42). • The company maintained full compliance with child- and forced-labour regulations.
Environmental Performance • Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 2.5 % to 26.51 tCO2e; emission intensity rounded to 0.000 tCO2e per RMB’000 segment revenue. • Electricity use declined 2.5 % to 4.76 million kWh; wood-pellet consumption dropped 57 % to 113.90 kWh-’000 equivalent. • Water consumption decreased 29 % to 4,646 m³, while paper usage edged down to 0.07 tonnes. • Total packaging material fell 17 % to 0.25 tonnes. • Hazardous waste—primarily pig carcasses—was fully incinerated via the Group’s treatment system; no dead-hog waste was recorded. • Biogas from on-site digesters continued to supplement boiler fuel, and all effluent met statutory discharge standards.
Community Engagement • The Joint Breeding Programme continued to support local farmers by supplying piglets, veterinary drugs and technical guidance, with finished hogs repurchased by the Group to provide sustainable income streams.
Looking Ahead Management aims to refine quantitative emission and waste targets once hog-market conditions stabilise, while deepening integration of ESG considerations into strategic decision-making.
