MONGOL MINING shares climb over 3% after interim results swing to profit

Shares of MONGOL MINING (00975) rose more than 3% following the release of its interim results, with the stock last trading up 2.39% at HK$10.7, on a turnover of HK$52.3689 million.

On August 20, the company reported its financial performance for the six months ended June 30, 2026. Group revenue reached US$586 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 69.11%. Profit attributable to shareholders stood at US$88.98 million, marking a turnaround from a loss in the prior corresponding period. Earnings per share came in at US$0.0859.

According to the announcement, the increase in profitability was primarily driven by higher sales volumes and average selling prices of washed hard coking coal, a profit contribution from the group's gold and metals segment, as well as higher net other income.
