BJ ENERGY INTL (00686) has announced that its indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Jingneng Smart Energy, has entered into an agreement with Beijing University of Technology on August 20, 2026, to serve as the contractor and service provider for a comprehensive energy initiative.

Under the agreement, Jingneng Smart Energy will undertake the investment, financing, design, and construction of an integrated energy system for the university's new Fangshan campus (Phase I). The scope includes heating and cooling systems, photovoltaic power generation, hot water heating for bathing, and a comprehensive energy management platform, followed by a 20-year operation and management period for the entire system.

The total construction investment allocated by Jingneng Smart Energy for this project is RMB 236 million. This initiative represents a socialized investment cooperation project focused on comprehensive energy services at the Fangshan campus.

By participating in this venture, the group aims to leverage its financial, technical, and operational strengths in integrated smart energy to broaden its footprint in Beijing. The project is expected to secure a stable, long-term, and predictable stream of service fees and electricity revenue, aligning with the group's strategic focus on clean energy and comprehensive energy services.
