City Developments names Kwek Leng Peck vice chairman, Desbaillets to leave board

City Developments Limited said on May, 18 2026 that it will appoint Kwek Leng Peck as a non-independent non-executive director and vice chairman with effect from Jun, 01 2026. Kwek, who previously sat on the board from 1987 to 2020, will also join the Nominating and Remuneration Committee.

The company added that Daniel Marie Ghislain Desbaillets will resign as an independent non-executive director on May, 31 2026 to focus on his family business. He will simultaneously step down from the Audit & Risk Committee and the Nominating and Remuneration Committee.

Following the changes, City Developments’ 10-member board will comprise two executive directors, one non-independent non-executive director and seven independent directors, of whom four are women. The revised committee line-ups take effect on Jun, 01 2026, while the Board Sustainability Committee remains unchanged.

The board continues to meet the independence requirements of Singapore Exchange listing rules and the 2018 Code of Corporate Governance, the company said.
