On August 22, Global X Uranium ETF rose 5.01% in regular trading, trading at $46.01/share, with turnover of $142 million.
The rally comes amid a wave of nuclear industry catalysts. Most recently, Terra Innovatum was added to the Solactive Global Uranium & Nuclear Components Total Return Index, the benchmark tracked by the Global X Uranium ETF, placing it among global companies defining the nuclear fuel cycle and expanding access to passive and thematic nuclear investors. Meanwhile, nuclear startup Valar Atomics is in talks for a $1 billion fundraise at a pre-money valuation of approximately $5 billion, led by Sequoia Capital, following a partnership with NVIDIA to build a small reactor-powered data center. Multiple nuclear companies have also filed for IPOs, including Standard Nuclear at $15 per share and Holtec, tapping into AI data center power demand. Uranium exploration has also accelerated, with Frontier Nuclear launching its drill program and ATHA Energy reporting its widest uranium mineralization intercept at the RIB North discovery.
The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the securities of the underlying index and in ADRs and GDRs based on the securities in the underlying index. The underlying index is designed to measure broad-based equity market performance of global companies involved in the uranium industry. The fund is non-diversified.
