Stock Track | DFI Retail Group Soars 4.81% Intraday on Strong 1Q Profit Growth and Positive Analyst Outlook

DFI Retail Group's stock surged 4.81% during intraday trading, reflecting strong investor confidence following the release of its first-quarter performance metrics.

According to analyst reports, DFI Retail's underlying profit growth for the first quarter tracked ahead of expectations. The strong gain was partly driven by significantly lower financing costs following the company's debt repayment in February last year. While margins in its health and beauty division could face pressure, the performance of DFI's other divisions—including food and convenience stores—is expected to more than offset this weakness.

DBS Group Research retains its buy rating on DFI Retail with a target price of $5.00, citing the company's overall positive operational outlook despite some segment-specific challenges.
