JF SMARTINVEST (ASX: 09636) has announced business developments from its wholly-owned subsidiaries, including the launch of a flagship store, a new AI-powered investment tool, and a significant license expansion to include virtual asset services.

The company's flagship physical store, operated by its subsidiary Fangde Securities, has commenced operations in Hong Kong's Sheung Wan district. The four-story facility spans approximately 19,337 square feet and features a user experience center, a smart center, and dedicated areas for seminars and high-net-worth clients, complete with private meeting rooms to enhance service quality and brand image.

Fangde Smart Invest, another subsidiary, has officially launched the "Fangde AI Stock Machine," an intelligent investment terminal designed for Hong Kong retail investors. This platform integrates global market data and trading, AI-powered investment assistance, professional research services, and smart trading tools, aiming to provide institutional-grade research and decision-making capabilities to individual investors.

A Major Licensing Milestone

In a key development, subsidiaries Fangde Securities and Fangde Capital Management have received approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to expand their regulated activity scopes. Fangde Securities can now provide virtual asset trading services under its Type 1 license and offer advice on virtual assets under its Type 4 license. Fangde Capital Management is now authorized to provide virtual asset-related asset management services to professional investors under its Type 9 license.

Comprehensive Service Offering

Following this approval, the group collectively holds licenses for Type 1 (securities dealing, including virtual asset dealing), Type 2 (futures contract dealing), Type 4 (advising on securities, including virtual assets), Type 5 (advising on futures contracts), and Type 9 (asset management, including virtual asset-related management) regulated activities. This enables clients to access a full suite of virtual asset services—trading, advisory, and asset management—through a single account, integrating traditional and digital asset management.

All virtual asset-related services will be provided strictly in accordance with the SFC's regulations and guidelines and will be offered exclusively to professional investors. The Board believes these developments will enhance the Group's overseas business layout, strengthen its "technology + investment research" dual-driver strategy, boost its competitiveness in international markets, and be beneficial for its long-term growth.
