The company's inauguration and partnership signing ceremony took place at the Dalian International Conference Center on July 22. This move marks a crucial advancement for the city in cultivating independent ocean-going transport capabilities and is set to inject fresh momentum into the high-quality development of Dalian as an international shipping and logistics hub for Northeast Asia.

Dalian Ocean Shipping Company was established under the leadership of China Dalian International Economic & Technical Cooperation Group Co., Ltd. It serves as a specialized platform enterprise for Dalian to deepen its engagement in the ocean shipping sector and expand its maritime economy. The company's strategy revolves around building an integrated, closed-loop system encompassing "Liaoning cargo, Liaoning vessels, and Liaoning ports." Its objectives include breaking down barriers between local cargo sources, domestic shipping capacity, and regional port coordination; effectively consolidating shipping resources; revitalizing the professional talent pool; and smoothing both domestic and international logistics supply chains. Its core business will focus on ocean freight transportation, international route operations, ship management, freight forwarding, cross-border logistics, and shipping support services.
