The Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce has released a notice regarding adjustments to consumer goods trade-in subsidy programs for locally designated product categories. This move aims to better meet consumer demand for upgrading household items, as outlined in the Ministry of Commerce's guidelines for such initiatives.
Where to begin
Starting at midnight on July 27, 2026, individual consumers purchasing smart range hoods, smart gas stoves (including integrated cooktops), smart heaters, smart dishwashers (including disinfection cabinets), smart door locks, smart toilets (including smart toilet seats), smart clothes dryers, smart rice cookers (including ovens, microwaves, and air fryers), smart vacuum cleaners, and digital cameras (including action cameras and drones) will receive a subsidy of 15% of the product's sales price. Each consumer is eligible for a subsidy on one item per product category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per item. Those who have already benefited from a similar subsidy for the same product category prior to this policy adjustment are not eligible again. Specific product details are listed on the "One Code Guizhou APP or WeChat Mini Program."
Why just these 10 product categories?
From midnight on July 27, 2026, the subsidy products announced in the April 30, 2026, notice from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce will be replaced by the products listed in this new announcement. Any other matters not covered here will continue to follow the April 30, 2026, notice. Should there be further policy changes, an additional notice will be issued. This announcement is made by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce on July 23, 2026.
