During the overlapping National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport experienced its busiest travel peak of the year. With high passenger volumes and a fast pace, the airport refused to compromise on service quality. Treating passenger satisfaction as the ultimate benchmark, the airport pursued efficiency through speed by continuously reducing domestic flight cutoff times, and enhanced the travel experience through warmth by deepening volunteer and transfer services. Multiple convenience measures have delivered tangible results, with passenger satisfaction steadily rising.

Under the heading of saving 25 minutes to give rushed travelers more breathing room, many passengers who arrived at the airport just in the nick of time during the holiday period were pleasantly surprised. "I thought I would miss my flight, but everything went smoothly," one traveler remarked. This pleasant surprise stemmed from the airport's latest adjustment to domestic flight cutoff times. Starting September 22, the cutoff time for domestic passenger flights was compressed from 30 minutes to 25 minutes before scheduled departure. In other words, passengers now have an additional 5 minutes to complete check-in, baggage drop, and other procedures. Though it may seem like just 5 minutes, it represents a series of continuous speed improvements. Since 2024, Yangzhou Taizhou Airport has optimized its cutoff time for the fourth consecutive time, reducing it from an initial 40 minutes to the current 25 minutes, giving passengers a cumulative 15 extra minutes. This efficiency-boosting initiative withstood the test of the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival travel rush, with the airport handling over 100 flights and serving more than 14,500 passengers daily while still achieving fast and smooth operations. For passengers, those 15 minutes provide the confidence to leave home at ease. For the airport, it means the entire support chain, from check-in, security screening, baggage sorting, apron loading and unloading, to weight and balance calculations, must be coordinated more tightly and smoothly. For late-arriving and urgent passengers, the airport also added priority lanes to facilitate holiday travel.

Under the heading of volunteer services bringing warmth to travel during peak periods, service standards were not lowered despite the surge in passenger traffic. During the double holiday period, the airport assembled volunteer service teams and set up mobile volunteer service stations in passenger-concentrated areas such as the check-in zone, security area, and arrival hall, focusing on providing full-journey guidance, caring assistance, and priority processing for special passengers including the elderly, children, the sick, the disabled, and pregnant women. Volunteers proactively approached passengers to offer help, assisting those approaching the cutoff time through fast lanes and priority baggage check, while also maintaining order and providing information. "From the entrance to boarding, someone was helping me every step of the way. I felt much more at ease," commented one passenger traveling with a child. Similar heartwarming scenes played out repeatedly at the volunteer service stations. These seemingly small gestures allowed hurried travelers to feel the airport's warmth even during the busiest times.

Under the heading of smoother transfers eliminating the need to drag luggage back and forth, the biggest fear during transfers is having to haul luggage around. Responding to growing transfer and connection demands, Yangzhou Taizhou Airport has continued to optimize its transfer service procedures. As of now, the airport has registered 1,766 through-flights, a 40% increase from the beginning of the year, and has partnered with 7 airports to offer cross-airline transfers with single check-in and through-checked baggage. In 2026, the airport has already served over 10,000 through-transfer passengers. Meanwhile, the airport has improved transfer guidance signage, simplified connection procedures, and reduced repetitive processing steps through baggage interlining and other convenience measures, effectively enhancing transfer efficiency and experience. During the double holiday period, many passengers transferring through Yangzhou Taizhou reported: "No need to drag luggage around during transfers, the connections were very smooth." An efficient and seamless transfer experience is increasingly becoming a reason for more people to choose Yangzhou Taizhou Airport.

These practical convenience measures have made the warm and caring Yang Tai service brand tangible and concrete, earning recognition from based airlines and passengers alike. During the double holiday support period, the airport received a commendation banner from Spring Airlines and 6 thank-you letters from passengers, filled with sincere gratitude from both passengers and airlines for the warm service and efficient support.
