Levi Strauss & Co.'s stock surged 9.94% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results that exceeded analyst expectations.

The denim apparel maker reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.42, beating estimates of $0.37, while revenue jumped 14% year-over-year to $1.74 billion, surpassing forecasts of $1.65 billion. The company also raised its full-year revenue growth guidance to 5.5%-6.5% from 5%-6% previously, and increased its adjusted EPS outlook to $1.42-$1.48 from $1.40-$1.46.
