BINHAI TEDA (08348) has reported its financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, with revenue of RMB 473 million, a sharp decline of 61.1% year-on-year. The company's profit attributable to equity holders fell by 82.1% to just RMB 173,000, with basic earnings per share standing at 0.05 cents.
The significant drop in operating revenue is primarily attributed to two key factors. Firstly, the group has been actively optimizing its revenue structure by scaling back high-risk, low-margin business segments, leading to a gradual contraction in its material procurement services. Secondly, the downturn in the fuel-powered vehicle market has resulted in client attrition within the automotive parts and finished vehicle supply chain logistics business compared to the same period last year. This, combined with normalized price competition in the industry, has also driven service fee levels lower in line with prevailing market conditions.
The decrease in profit attributable to equity holders during the period is largely linked to the corresponding decline in revenue scale. Additionally, the group's share of profit from joint ventures has decreased due to market conditions and foreign exchange fluctuations, which has consequently reduced investment income.
