CR Building Materials Technology Reports Interim Loss Amid Revenue Decline

CR BLDG MAT TEC (01313) has published its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revealing a shift to a net loss attributable to shareholders. The company recorded revenue of RMB 8.636 billion, marking a 15.4% decrease compared to the prior-year period.

The group reported a loss attributable to owners of the company of RMB 441 million, contrasting sharply with a profit of RMB 306.7 million recorded during the same timeframe last year. The basic loss per share stood at RMB 0.063, while the board has declared an interim dividend of HKD 0.014 per share.

During the reporting period, sales volumes for cement products, concrete, and aggregates saw mixed movements. Cement product sales declined by 200,000 tonnes, while concrete sales increased by 1.1 million cubic metres and aggregates fell by 700,000 tonnes. These changes represent a year-on-year variation of negative 0.7%, positive 15.7%, and negative 2.0%, respectively.

Within the cement products sold during the period, approximately 83.6% were of grade 42.5 or higher, up from 82.1% in the corresponding period of 2025. Bagged cement accounted for about 31.7% of total cement sales, compared to 30.8% in the prior year. Internal cement sales used for the group's concrete production totalled 1.2 million tonnes, down from 1.4 million tonnes in 2025, representing 5.2% of total cement sales versus 5.7% previously.
