Guolian Minsheng Securities Company Limited announced on 21 August 2026 that Executive Director and President Ge Xiaobo has resigned with immediate effect due to personal commitments. His departure also covers roles as a board risk control committee member, strategy and ESG committee member, and authorised representative under Hong Kong Listing Rule 3.05. Ge confirmed no disagreement with the board and no matters requiring shareholder or creditor attention. The resignation leaves the board above the statutory minimum size, ensuring normal operations.
At the eighth meeting of the sixth board session held the same day, directors approved the temporary transfer of presidential duties to Executive Vice President Wang Jinling until a new president is formally appointed. Concurrently, Chairman Gu Wei was named the company’s authorised representative under Listing Rule 3.05.
The board credited Ge with advancing strategic development, optimising business deployment and driving “leapfrog” growth in capital and business scale during his tenure. Guolian Minsheng stated that procedures for electing a new director and appointing a permanent president will be completed “as soon as possible” in line with regulatory requirements.
Following the changes, the board comprises three non-executive directors—Gu Wei, Zhou Weiping and Wu Weihua—one employee director, Chen Xingjun, and three independent non-executive directors, Gao Wei, Guo Chunming and Hsu Wai Man Helen.
