Prudential cancels shares and extends buyback programme

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 500,319 ordinary shares repurchased on Jul, 20 2026, reducing its issued share capital by 0.01996% to 2,506,058,258 shares as of Jul, 22 2026.

On Jul, 22 2026, the company bought back a further 270,162 shares on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation at prices ranging between about 19.11 and 19.85 million Singapore dollars per share, for a total consideration of roughly 5.26 million Singapore dollars.

Since the current buyback authority was approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential has repurchased 106.66 million shares, representing around 4.09% of the shares outstanding on the mandate date. The group remains authorised to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares and is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share disposals until Aug, 21 2026.
