Prudential cancels 0.35 million shares and repurchases a further 0.37 million

Prudential plc announced that on Apr, 07 2026 it cancelled 351,297 previously-repurchased ordinary shares, equal to about 0.0139% of its share capital, trimming its outstanding shares to roughly 2.527 billion.

On the same day, the company bought back 369,603 additional ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices between 10.67 and 10.925 apiece, for an aggregate outlay of about 4 million. These shares are intended for cancellation.

Including 390,349 shares repurchased on Apr, 02 2026, a total of 759,952 shares are awaiting cancellation. Since receiving its current buy-back mandate on May, 14 2025, Prudential has repurchased 80.61 million shares, representing approximately 3.09% of the shares outstanding on that date.

Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until May, 07 2026.
